==Demographics== In the [[2021 Canadian census|2021 Census of Population]] conducted by [[Statistics Canada]], Yellowknife had a population of {{val|20340|fmt=commas}} living in {{val|7519|fmt=commas}} of its {{val|7975|fmt=commas}} total private dwellings, a change of {{percentage|{{#expr:20340-19569}}|19569|1}} from its 2016 population of {{val|19569|fmt=commas}}.
