The fight for women's suffrage in [[China]] was organized when [[Tang Qunying]] founded the women's suffrage organization [[Nüzi chanzheng tongmenghui]], to ensure that women's suffrage would be included in the first Constitution drafted after the abolition of the [[Monarchy of China|Chinese monarchy]] in 1911–1912.<ref>Bailey, Paul J.
