Paul endorses [[constitutional right]]s, such as the [[right to keep and bear arms]], and ''[[habeas corpus]]'' for political detainees. He was one of only three Republicans in the House to vote against the [[Patriot Act]]. Paul opposes federal use of [[Torture and the United States|torture]], [[presidential autonomy]], a [[REAL ID Act|national identification card]], warrantless [[NSA warrantless surveillance (2001–07)|domestic surveillance]], and [[Conscription in the United States|the draft]].
