===Russia===
Under Russian law, in article 185 of the [[Russian Civil Code]], a power of attorney can be created by being signed by the donor.<ref name="base.garant.ru">{{Cite web|url=http://base.garant.ru/10164072/d4bb907739651456e6c5c216f5dd7ee9/|title=Глава 9.1. A power of attorney must also be dated, pursuant to article 186 of the Russian Civil Code.<ref name="base.garant.ru"/> Any POA without an express date of execution is void.

A power of attorney cannot be irrevocable. The grantor may terminate the POA at any time, at his or her sole discretion. Any waiver of this right is void, as provided by the Civil Code.
