===Telecommunications===
The Marquesas are served by telephone as well as by radio and television, mainly from [[Tahiti]]. Recent additions include ''Vini'', a mobile phone service that is a commercial subsidiary of the public {{ill|Office des postes et télécommunications de Polynésie française#Filiales|lt=OPT Polynesia|fr}}, the sole provider of fixed telephony in most of Polynesia. Over a period of about six years, Vini has expanded to cover most of the populated islands.
