Long Beach has several resident professional and semi-professional theater companies. Musical Theatre West, one of the largest regional theatrical producers in [[Southern California]], performs at the [[Carpenter Performing Arts Center]] on the campus of [[California State University, Long Beach|CSU Long Beach]]. International City Theatre produces plays and musicals at the [[Beverly O'Neill]] Theatre (part of the [[Long Beach Convention and Entertainment Center]]). The [[Art Theatre]] on the [[4th Street Corridor]] is one of few remaining historic movie theaters of its era in Southern California.
