In December 2024, news broke of [[Robert Eggers]] being tapped to direct and co-write a follow-up to ''Labyrinth'' alongside [[Sjón]]. [[Chris Columbus (filmmaker)|Chris Columbus]], Eleanor Columbus, Lisa Henson were all confirmed to be producing with [[Brian Henson]] executive producing.
