==Corruption== On 7 December 2019, Ericsson agreed to pay more than $1.2 billion (β¬1.09 billion) to settle [[United States Department of Justice|U.S. Department of Justice]] [[Foreign Corrupt Practices Act|FCPA]] criminal and civil investigations into foreign corruption. US authorities accused the company of conducting a campaign of corruption between 2000 and 2016 across China, Indonesia, Vietnam, Kuwait and Djibouti. Ericsson admitted to paying bribes, falsifying books and records and failing to implement reasonable internal accounting controls in an attempt to strengthen its position in the telecommunications industry.<ref>{{cite web |url=https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-ericsson/ericsson-to-pay-over-1-billion-to-resolve-us-corruption-probes-idUSKBN1YA2HU |title=Ericsson to pay over $1 billion to resolve U.S. corruption probes |publisher=Reuters |date=7 December 2019 |access-date=9 December 2019 |archive-date=9 December 2019 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20191209172045/https://www.reuters.com/article/us-usa-ericsson/ericsson-to-pay-over-1-billion-to-resolve-us-corruption-probes-idUSKBN1YA2HU |url-status=live }}</ref><ref>{{cite web|url=https://www.ft.com/content/d026b9c0-1876-11ea-8d73-6303645ac406 |archive-url=https://ghostarchive.org/archive/20221210/https://www.ft.com/content/d026b9c0-1876-11ea-8d73-6303645ac406 |archive-date=10 December 2022 |url-access=subscription |title=Ericsson to pay US more than $1bn over foreign bribery |work=Financial Times|date=7 December 2019 |access-date=9 December 2019}}</ref><ref>{{cite web |url=https://www.dw.com/en/ericsson-fined-1-billion-for-widespread-corruption/a-51566829 |title=Ericsson fined $1 billion for widespread corruption |publisher=Deutsche Welle |date=7 December 2019 |access-date=9 December 2019 |archive-date=8 December 2019 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20191208180319/https://www.dw.com/en/ericsson-fined-1-billion-for-widespread-corruption/a-51566829 |url-status=live }}</ref> In 2022, an internal investigation into corruption inside the company was leaked by the [[International Consortium of Investigative Journalists]].<ref>{{Cite web |date=2022-02-27 |title=The Ericsson List |url=https://www.icij.org/investigations/ericsson-list/ |access-date=2022-02-28 |website=[[ICIJ]] |language=en-US |archive-date=28 February 2022 |archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20220228194805/https://www.icij.org/investigations/ericsson-list/ |url-status=live }}</ref> It detailed corruption in at least 10 countries.
