Sri Lanka has a well-established education system that has successfully created a vast supply of skilled labour. Sri Lanka's population has a literacy rate of 92%, higher than that expected for a developing country; it has the highest literacy rate in South Asia and overall, one of the highest literacy rates in Asia.<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.mohe.gov.lk/index.php/about-ministry/overview|title=Overview of Education in Sri Lanka|publisher=Ministry of Higher Education}}</ref> Information technology literacy of the urban sector population is also satisfactory at 39.9 per cent and people around the country use web-based job boards to find skilled employment together with other sources such as newspapers and government gazette.
