The predominant religion practiced in Delaware is [[Christianity in the United States|Christianity]]. The [[Roman Catholic Diocese of Wilmington]] and the [[Episcopal Diocese of Delaware]] oversee the parishes within their denominations. The [[A.U.M.P. Church]], the oldest African-American denomination in the nation, was founded in Wilmington. It still has a substantial presence in the state. Reflecting new immigrant populations, an [[mosque|Islamic mosque]] has been built in the [[Ogletown, Delaware|Ogletown]] area, and a [[Hindu Temple of Delaware|Hindu temple in Hockessin]].

Delaware is home to an [[Amish]] community which resides west of [[Dover, Delaware|Dover]] in [[Kent County, Delaware|Kent County]], consisting of nine church districts and about 1,650 people. The Amish first settled in Kent County in 1915.
