The [[2002 Gujarat riots]], also known as the [[Gujarat]] pogrom,<ref name="Wire - Gujarat" /> were a three-day period of inter-communal violence in the Indian state of Gujarat.

The violence was connected to the [[Ayodhya dispute]] and the [[Demolition of the Babri Masjid|demolition]] of the [[Babri Masjid]].
