It was the main economic activity in the Tawantinsuyu, followed by livestock raising. They also built [[Agrobiology|agrobiological]] experimentation centers such as [[Moray (Inca ruin)|Moray]] (Cuzco), Castrovirreyna (Huancavelica) and Carania (Yauyos), through circular terraces where the products of the entire empire were reproduced.<ref name="hernandez"/>
