=====Former churches===== * The {{lang|de|[[Barfüßerkirche, Erfurt|Barfüßerkirche]]}} is a 14th-century Gothic [[Mendicant orders|mendicant]] church at {{lang|de|Barfüßerstraße}}. The former [[Franciscans|Franciscan]] monastery became a Protestant parish church after the Reformation. In 1944, the church was severely damaged by allied bombing. Its high choir was restored, but the nave's ruins have been preserved as a war memorial.{{Citation needed|date=September 2023}} * The {{lang|de|Bartholomäuskirche}} ([[St Bartholomew's Church, Erfurt|St Bartholomew's Church]]) was a Gothic parish church at {{lang|de|Anger}} Square. The church was demolished in 1715 and only the steeple remained.
