There are over 100 historic sites in Paulding County marked with historical markers. One of the more popular historic sites in the area is the [[Pickett's Mill Battlefield Site]], which is one of the best-preserved Civil War battlefields in the nation.  Visitors can travel roads used by [[Union Army|Union]] and [[Confederate States Army|Confederate]] troops, see earthworks constructed by these men, and walk through the same ravine where hundreds of soldiers died.
