In 2004, [[Brazilian Institute of Public Opinion and Statistics|IBOPE]] conducted a poll in Brazil that asked questions about creationism and the teaching of creationism in schools. When asked if creationism should be taught in schools, 89% of people said that creationism should be taught in schools.
