Several bodies independently certify the production of tea, such as [[Rainforest Alliance]], [[Fairtrade certification|Fairtrade]], [[UTZ Certified]], and [[Organic certification|Organic]]. From 2008 to 2016, sustainability standards-certified tea production experienced a compound annual growth rate of about 35%, accounting for at least 19% of overall tea production. Rainforest Alliance certified tea is sold by [[Unilever]] brands [[Lipton]] and [[PG Tips]] in Western Europe, Australia and the U.S. Fairtrade certified tea is sold by a large number of suppliers around the world.
