There are three important universities in Porto Alegre: the [[Federal University of Health Sciences of Porto Alegre]] ([[UFCSPA]]), the [[Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul]] ([[UFRGS]]) and the [[Pontifícia Universidade Católica do Rio Grande do Sul|Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul]] ([[PUCRS]]) all of which ranked among the top universities in Brazil and Latin America. [[UFRGS]] is also one of the 3 main universities in the country for [[post-graduation]] work. The PUCRS technological park&nbsp;– TECNOPUC&nbsp;– is one of the largest scientific and technological parks in Latin America with interaction of graduate courses, research and innovation. PUCRS is also one of the best universities for air transport and pilot formation in the world.
