==Politics== Orkney is represented in the [[British House of Commons|House of Commons]] as part of the [[Orkney and Shetland (UK Parliament constituency)|Orkney and Shetland]] [[United Kingdom constituencies|constituency]], which elects one [[Member of Parliament (United Kingdom)|Member of Parliament]] (MP), the current incumbent being [[Alistair Carmichael]].
