New Haven is a notable center for higher education. There are several institutions immediately outside of New Haven, as well. [[Quinnipiac University]] and the [[Paier College of Art]] are located just to the north, in the town of [[Hamden, Connecticut|Hamden]]. The [[University of New Haven]] is located not in New Haven but in neighboring [[West Haven, Connecticut|West Haven]].
