== House of Glücksburg ==

[[Haakon VII of Norway|Carl of Denmark]] was approved in a [[1905 Norwegian monarchy referendum|referendum]] as King of Norway on 13 November 1905 and then elected by the [[Storting]] on 18 November 1905. He took the regnal name Haakon VII. With him the [[House of Oldenburg]], in the form of its [[Norwegian royal family|junior branch]], resumed occupancy of the throne of Norway.{{Citation needed|date= February 2018}}
