Among its wins are the 1997 [[Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Drama Series]], [[Screen Actors Guild Award]]s for Outstanding Male Actor in a Drama Series for [[Sam Waterston]] in 1999 and [[Jerry Orbach]] in 2005 (awarded after his death), and numerous [[Edgar Awards]] for Best Episode in a Television Series Teleplay.
