===Cancelled sequel===
A purported sequel was in development for a 2015 release, and was to be called ''It's a Wonderful Life: The Rest of the Story''. It was to be written by Bob Farnsworth and Martha Bolton and follow the angel of George Bailey's daughter Zuzu (played once again by [[Karolyn Grimes]]), as she teaches Bailey's evil grandson how different the world would have been if he had never been born. The film had been announced as being produced by Star Partners and Hummingbird Productions, neither of which are affiliated with Paramount, owners of the original film (Farnsworth claimed that ''It's a Wonderful Life'' was in the public domain).
