===Military heritage===
The university is home to detachments for [[United States Army|U.S. Army]] and [[United States Air Force|U.S. Air Force]] [[Reserve Officers' Training Corps]] (ROTC) as well as a host school for the [[United States Marine Corps|U.S. Marine Corps]] [[Officer Candidates School (United States Marine Corps)#Platoon Leaders Class|PLC]] program adjacent to the Semper Fi Society.

In addition to students from the university, these organizations also serve students from [[Anderson University (South Carolina)|Anderson University]], [[Southern Wesleyan University]], [[Bob Jones University]],  and [[Tri-County Technical College]].
