===The project of Archbishop Norbert of Magdeburg===
During the 1130s, [[Norbert of Xanten|Norbert, Archbishop of Magdeburg]] undertook a project under which Pomerania would be divided between two dioceses subordinated to his archbishopric. At the same time, he revived the old claims of Magdeburg's ecclesiastical sovereignty over all Poland. A first Bull was prepared by 1131, but never entered into force.<ref>Archbishop Norbert tried to take over the Bishopric of Poznań and incorporated under the suzerainty of the Archbishopric of Magdeburg. The Polish bishops didn't appear before [[Pope Innocent II]], which resulted in the issuing of the [[Papal bull|Bull]] ''Sacrosancta Romana''<ref>Ph.
