In early 2006, the dormant Acorn trademark was licensed from the [[France|French]] company Aristide & Co Antiquaire de Marques, by [[Acorn Computers (2006)|a new company]] based in [[Nottingham]].<ref>{{cite web|url=http://www.bailii.org/uk/cases/DRS/2006/3682.html|title=DRS Number 03682, Acorn Computers Limited and Roy Johnson, Nominet UK Dispute Resolution Service and Companies House WebCheck|website=bailii.org}}</ref> This company was dissolved in late 2009.

On 23 February 2018 the Acorn trademark made another return when a new company Acorn Inc.
