The [[Government of India]] has been considering adopting a whistleblower protection law for several years. The Whistle Blowers Protection Act, 2011 received Presidential assent on 9 May 2014 and the same was subsequently published in the official gazette of the Government of India on 9 May 2014 by the Ministry of Law and Justice, Government of India.
