*[[Swindon Designer Outlet]] (opened in 1997) is an indoor shopping mall for reduced-price goods, mainly clothing, on the site of the former railway works. The outlet is adjacent to the [[Swindon Steam Railway Museum|Steam Museum]] (opened in 2000) and the [[National Trust for Places of Historic Interest or Natural Beauty|National Trust]] headquarters (since 2005).
