He is the second person in South Korean history to be given a [[state funeral]] after Park Chung Hee. It was attended by President Lee Myung-bak, First Lady [[Kim Yoon-ok]], former presidents [[Chun Doo-hwan]], [[Kim Young-sam]], former first Lady [[Kwon Yang-sook]], and members of National Assembly.
