[[Chester Charter Scholars Academy]] began in 2008 as a small public-private partnership between The Chester Fund for Education and the Arts and the Chester-Upland school district. Widener Partnership Charter School was first launched in 2006, and is located across from the main campus of [[Widener University]]. It enrolls students from kindergarten to eighth grade. Widener University provides support to the charter school including educating staff, providing work to graduate students, and use of the university facilities.
