====Sikhism====
In Sikhism, sexual activity is supposed to occur only between married individuals. Sikhism advises against premarital sex, as it has a high potential of being an indulgence of [[lust]] (''[[kaam]]'', or extreme sexual desire). Sikhism teaches that young women must have decent modesty (''sharam)'' because the honor (''[[Izzat (honour)|izzat]])'' of her family could be jeopardized. Sexual activity and even living together prior to marriage is not allowed in Sikhism.
