The RAN currently operates 33 commissioned vessels, made up of 10 ship classes, plus 12 non-commissioned vessels. In addition, [[DMS Maritime]] operates a [[List of Defence Maritime Services vessels|large number of civilian-crewed]] vessels under contract to the Australian Defence Force.
