The International Marine Terminal in [[Portland, Maine|Portland]] provides shipping container transport. In 2021 an estimated 36,700 shipping containers moved through the terminal. In 2017, a total of 17,515 shipping containers were transported. The Icelandic shipping company [[Eimskip]] opened its United States headquarters in Portland in 2013.
