One example of an early (pre-fifth century BC) votive inscription is on a bucchero oinochoe (wine vase): ''ṃiṇi mulvaṇịce venalia ṡlarinaṡ. en mipi kapi ṃi(r) ṇuṇai'' = "Venalia Ṡlarinaṡ gave me. Do not touch me (?), I (am) ''nunai'' (an offering?)."
