[[Cape Regional Medical Center]] opened as Burdette Tomlin Memorial Hospital in 1950, keeping that name until 2007. It is the only hospital in the county. [[Beesley's Point Generating Station]] was a [[Fossil fuel power station#Coal|coal-based power plant]] located in Upper Township that generated 447 [[Watt#Megawatt|megawatts]] of power.
