The Space Shuttle's operations were supported by vehicles and infrastructure that facilitated its transportation, construction, and crew access. The original SCA (N905NA) was first flown in 1975, and was used for the [[Approach and Landing Tests|ALT]] and ferrying the orbiter from Edwards AFB to the KSC on all missions prior to 1991. A second SCA (N911NA) was acquired in 1988, and was first used to transport ''Endeavour'' from the factory to the KSC.
