The hospital hosts UNB degree programs in nursing and medical x-ray technology and professional internships in fields such as dietetics. Specialized medical services at the hospital include neurosurgery, peripheral and neuro-interventional radiology, [[vascular surgery]], thoracic surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, [[orthopedics]], trauma, burn unit, medical [[oncology]], [[neonatal intensive care]], and adolescent psychiatry. The Moncton Hospital is managed by Horizon Health Network (formerly the South East Regional Health Authority). A cardiac cath lab is being studied for the hospital and a new PET/CT scanner has been installed.
