===2007=== [[File:DTM Mercedes 2007 Haekkinen amk.jpg|thumb|left|Häkkinen driving Mercedes Stars and Cars in 2007]] On 28 January 2007, it was announced that Häkkinen would remain in DTM for the [[2007 Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters season|2007 season]] for HWA,<ref name="dtm2007">{{cite web|title=Hakkinen stays in DTM|url=http://www.gpupdate.net/en/f1-news/139651/|work=gpupdate.com|date=28 January 2007|access-date=16 September 2014|archive-date=6 October 2014|archive-url=https://web.archive.org/web/20141006111751/http://www.gpupdate.net/en/f1-news/139651/|url-status=live}}</ref> and was partnered by Spengler, Green and Schneidler. Häkkinen stated that during 2006, his team's potential was not realised and aimed during 2007 to improve on his results.<ref name="dtm2007"/> He started the season by earning consecutive finishes in the first two races, albeit outside of the points scoring positions. At the race held at the Circuit de Catalunya, Häkkinen was involved in a collision with Audi driver [[Martin Tomczyk]].
