In April 2017, a biographical documentary about his illness, ''[[Remembering Leonard Nimoy]]'' was released, produced by his daughter [[Julie Nimoy|Julie]].

In front of the [[Boston Museum of Science]], a memorial to Nimoy is planned for installation, near where he grew up in the [[West End, Boston|West End of Boston]].
