Jeffersonville ended [[Racial segregation|segregation]] in its public schools in 1952, two years before the [[Supreme Court of the United States|Supreme Court]] case ''[[Brown v. Board of Education]]'' ruled that segregation was [[Constitutionality|unconstitutional]]. Prior to this, [[Jeffersonville High School]] was reserved for white high school students.
