The '''Lebanese Resistance Brigades''' ({{langx|ar|سرايا المقاومة اللبنانية|Sarāyā l-Muqāwama al-Lubnāniyya}}), also known as the '''Lebanese Brigades to Resist the Israeli Occupation''', were formed by Hezbollah in 1997 as a multifaith (Christian, Druze, Sunni and Shia) volunteer force to combat the Israeli occupation of Southern Lebanon. In 2009, the Resistance Brigades were reactivated, mainly comprising Sunni supporters from the southern city of [[Sidon]].
