===Atlanta Hawks===
The Celtics–[[Atlanta Hawks|Hawks]] rivalry is a [[List of sports rivalries|rivalry]] in the [[Eastern Conference (NBA)|Eastern Conference]] of the [[National Basketball Association]] that has lasted for over five decades, although the two teams have played each other since the 1949–50 season, when the then-[[Quad Cities|Tri-Cities]] Blackhawks joined the NBA as part of the [[National Basketball League (United States)|National Basketball League]] and the [[Basketball Association of America]] merger. However, the Blackhawks could not field a truly competitive team until they moved to [[St. Louis]] as the St. Louis Hawks after a four-year stopover at [[Milwaukee]].
