The Department of Computing and Technology is located at both the Chelmsford and Cambridge campuses. The Department of Life Sciences is located at the Cambridge campus. Research in Psychology, Vision, and Environmental Sciences was rated as world-leading or of international quality in the 2008 UK Research Assessment Exercise.
