From its earliest series, ''Absolutely Fabulous'' won a devoted cult status with [[gay]] audiences, which persists. There have been numerous tributes over the years, such as an ''Absolutely Fabulous'' drag show at [[Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras]], and the song "[[Absolutely Fabulous (song)|Absolutely Fabulous]]" by [[synth-pop]] duo [[Pet Shop Boys]].
