As of the [[census]]<ref name="GR2" /> of 2000, there were 32,498 people, 9,519 households, and 7,386 families residing in the CDP.  The [[population density]] was 7,093.3 people per square mile (2,739.6/km<sup>2</sup>). There were 10,298 housing units at an average density of 2,247.7/sq&nbsp;mi (868.1/km<sup>2</sup>).
