Once the Vandals came to live outside of [[Germania]], they were no longer considered ''Germani'' by [[Ancient Rome|ancient Roman]] authors.<ref>{{harvnb|Wolfram|1997|p=4}} "Goths, Vandals, and other East Germanic tribes were differentiated from the Germans... Since the Vandals spoke a [[Germanic languages|Germanic language]] (mainly:[[Vandalic language|Vandalic]]) and belonged to [[early Germanic culture]], they are classified as a [[Germanic peoples|Germanic people]] by modern scholars.<ref>
