Traffic in Malta [[Driving on the left or right|drives on the left]], being one of only four countries in Europe to do so, along with the [[United Kingdom]], [[Republic of Ireland|Ireland]] and [[Cyprus]]. Car ownership in Malta is exceedingly high given the very small size of the islands.
