==Geography==
According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the town has a total area of {{convert|33.9|sqmi|km2}}, of which {{convert|32.4|sqmi|km2}} is land and {{convert|1.5|sqmi|km2}}, or 4.57%, is water.

The town contains five villages, known as [[Manchaug Village Historic District|Manchaug]], South Sutton, [[Sutton Center Historic District|Sutton Center]], [[West Sutton Historic District|West Sutton]], and Wilkinsonville. Located in the [[Blackstone Valley]], Sutton shares its borders with the towns of [[Douglas, Massachusetts|Douglas]], [[Grafton, Massachusetts|Grafton]], [[Millbury, Massachusetts|Millbury]], [[Northbridge, Massachusetts|Northbridge]], [[Oxford, Massachusetts|Oxford]], and [[Uxbridge, Massachusetts|Uxbridge]].
