==Geography== Smyrna is part of the [[Atlanta metropolitan area]], located about {{convert|1|mi}} northwest of the Atlanta city limits, and with Smyrna's downtown approximately {{convert|16|mi|km}} from downtown Atlanta. Smyrna is located just west of the northern intersection of [[Interstate 285 (Georgia)|I-285]] and [[Interstate 75 in Georgia|I-75]], which is the site of the edge city [[Cumberland, Georgia|Cumberland]] and the [[Cobb Galleria]]. Smyrna is bordered by [[Vinings, Georgia|Vinings]] to the east, [[Marietta, Georgia|Marietta]] to the north and west, and [[Mableton, Georgia|Mableton]] to the south and southwest.
