GA 83 leads northeast {{convert|17|mi}} to [[Madison, Georgia|Madison]] and southwest {{convert|8|mi|0}} to [[Monticello, Georgia|Monticello]], the Jasper [[county seat]], while GA 142 leads northwest {{convert|11|mi}} to [[Newborn, Georgia|Newborn]] and southeast {{convert|9|mi|0}} to [[Willard, Georgia|Willard]].

According to the [[United States Census Bureau]], the town has a total area of {{convert|2.3|km2|order=flip}}, of which {{convert|7479|sqm|acre|order=flip|1}}, or 0.33%, are water. The east side of town drains toward the Little River, a tributary of the [[Oconee River]], while the west side drains to Murder Creek, a tributary of the Little River.
