==Premise==
The series is centered on the Conners, an American [[Working class|working-class]] family struggling to get by on a limited household income. Exterior shots of the Conner household were based on a real home located in Evansville, located at 619 S. Barr's real-life brother and sister are [[Homosexuality|gay]], which inspired her to push for introducing gay characters and issues into the show.
